While generally light green in colour, Yellow Poplar also contains areas of white, purple, and black. It is fairly soft and light in weight, but is still considered to be a hardwood and is stronger than a softwood. This is typically the specie of wood that we supply for Paint Grade orders, however, it has recently gained popularity as a stain grade wood due to its uniform ability to receive stain.
